Zareh Mutafian
b. 1907 d. 1980
Born in Samsun, on the side of the Black Sea , Zareh was French- Armenian artist well known for his paintings. Mutafian was the only member of his family whom survived the 1915 genocide. In 1927 he officially entered the Milan Art Academy. 1939 he moved to Paris. He is the father to historian Claude Mutafian.
