PROVIDENCE R.I. On Thursday, June 21st, 2012 join us for the opening reception for our newest exhibition, “Selections from the Z Collection,” from 5:00 – 9:00 PM.

For over a decade, Gallery Z has proudly celebrated eclectic artwork from both local and international artist working in a diversity of mediums. The gallery’s impressive permanent collection represents over 80 artists from different countries around the world, and gallery director Berge Zobian’s personal collection houses well over 1000 pieces of art. The work spans a wide range of styles and mediums – including sculpture, oil painting, photography, collage, glass, original prints, jewelry, and mixed media pieces.

Gallery Z will be welcoming this summer season with an entire exhibition dedicated to Zobian’s bountiful and often unseen personal collection that captures the unique underlying essence of Gallery Z’s style. The two week exhibit has been hand selected by gallery director Berge Ara Zobian to showcase every artist in the Gallery Z stable. Selections from Zobian’s personal collection will also be on display.

This short and lively showing will be the gallery’s 115th exhibit. It will be a great opportunity to take in a wholesome portion of the permanent collection, and promises to truly embody the Gallery Z aesthetic and spirit.

Also, on the last Thursday of each month, the participating Public Art Window organization at Gallery Z hosts a fundraising event to elevate public consciousness for their cause. On Thursday, June 28th, from 5-7 pm, (Gallery Z’s Art, Food & Wine Creating Awareness for a Cause) Gallery Z will partner with Shri Studio of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Shri Studio is a non-profit yoga organization whose mission is to illuminate Pawtucket’s downtown with positivity in the belief that yoga can be accessible to everyone and every body.  This event will feature cuisine provided by a Providence restaurant and world-class hand selected wine provided by I.M. Gan Discount Liquors located at 380 Warwick Ave. Warwick, RI 02888.
