Astrid is accomplished in multiple print media, including etching and lithography, which she layers over with drawings that resonate freshness and energy. In addition, she has worked for over twenty years in stained glass media, having studied at the Pilchuck Glass School.

Astrid's work is filled with layers of imagery and colour, and frequently reflects her fascination with Chinese calligraphy. Her work also pays homage to her Armenian ancestors, including depictions of the Armenian Genocide of 1915.

Astrid has a B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design and an M.F.A. from Hunter College in New York City.
